Beschreibung/Programm

We are a diverse and welcoming group of people based in Berlin who communicate in English, both in our WhatsApp group and at our in-person meetings.
Cancer can be challenging for anyone receiving such a diagnosis. It can be even more overwhelming if you are being treated away from your home country and in a language in which it may not be so easy to express yourself.

Would you find it easier to talk with others about cancer in English? English does not even need to be your first language. More than half of the people in our group are not native English speakers. We represent more than 30 countries around the world, with at least 17 different first languages spoken among our members.

Our in-person meetings provide a safe space where we give each other the opportunity to talk, listen, empathize and share advice as we navigate our individual cancer journeys together. We may not have the medical expertise that healthcare professionals provide, but as a large and diverse group with a wide range of personal experiences, we share thoughts, advice and practical tips on living with cancer in Berlin.

If you are joining us for the first time, please also join our WhatsApp group using the QR code. It is a lively and friendly forum where everyone is welcome to ask questions or share tips. It is also a great way to stay in touch with the group for those who are unable to attend our in-person meetings.

Practical Information

This event is for people affected by cancer and takes place on Saturday, 26 September 2026, from 10:30 to 12:30 at SURVIVORS HOME, Hildegardstraße 31, 10715 Berlin. No booking or registration is required for this event. Everyone interested is warmly welcome to join us.
